Fishmongers

Fishmongers is a small DIY game. I picked up rocks at the beach and painted them in groups of sea animals.

It's a 2-Player Set-Collecting game where players take turns buying fish from the market and then replenishing them.

I wanted the game to be easy to learn and simple to play so that it kept its casual feel, but achieving that while keeping the gameplay non-trivial was a bit challenging.
Rules
Set up the market by taking one fish of each species and putting them aside. The rest of the fish are the ocean.

Players take turns, in your turn you take one fish from the market and replace it with a different fish from the ocean, they can't be of the same species.

The game ends immediately when the last fish in the ocean is moved to the market.

At the end of the game, players get a score based on the fish they collected. The player with the highest score wins.

The fish left in the market don't count towards either player's score.
Clownfish and Crabs are worth 1 point; Eels, Jellyfish and Starfish are worth 2 points; Whales are worth 3 points.
The player with the most of any given species gets to score that species' points.

You get 1 extra point if your opponent doesn't own any fish of a species you do own.

Ex: The player with the most Eels scores 2 points, regardless of how many Eels they have.

Ex: Player A has 3 Crabs while Player B doesn't have any. Player A scores 1 point for having the most Crabs and 1 extra point for being the only player with Crabs.
